Itinerary

MONDAY After an early departure we travel south with comfort breaks en route arriving in Sidmouth during the late afternoon. There will be time to settle into the hotel and relax before dinner.

Whilst in resort we have included a free day and the following excellent excursions:
• A full day excursion as we step back in time in pretty little village of Budleigh Salterton which retains its traditional high street and village lifestyle. We continue on to Exmouth, Devon’s oldest resort where we have free time to explore or enjoy an optional cruise on the River Exe.
• A full day excursion to two of Devon’s favourite resorts. Dawlish offers the true Victorian seaside tradition of buckets and spades. Teignmouth, with its classic crescent of Georgian buildings, promenade and long sandy beach is both a historic port and a classic seaside resort.
• Full day excursion which includes Exeter, with its 13th Century Cathedral and vibrant centre and Powderham Castle, one of England’s oldest family homes where 600 years of history are contained within the walls.
A free day in Sidmouth. Relax on Jacobs Ladder beach or visit the award winning Connaught Gardens where the cliff top walkway has stunning views across Sidmouth and the linked gardens include a sunken garden, the showhouse and a pergola walk. There is also a band stand where you can often hear live music or see a theatre performance and the Clock Tower Cafe which serves a mouth-watering selection
