Matlock Bath Illuminations and Bakewell

3 Days £199 per person

Described as ‘absolutely breathtaking’ the Matlock Bath Illuminations feature a spectacular night time parade of illuminated and decorated boats which travel along the River Derwent between the landing stage and the New Bridge. The models are adorned with thousands of pea lights and are mounted on rowing boats so that as darkness falls the illuminated models appear to glide along just above the water. Matlock Bath Illuminations was originally inspired by the recollections of a visit by a young Queen Victoria, then Princess Victoria, who saw candlelight reflecting in the water and the shimmering lights made a lasting impression
