It features a coastal rail journey with stunning scenery, cityscapes and maritime views, the dramatic scenery of The Giants Causeway, the wild Atlantic seascapes of Malin Head, the walled city of Derry and Donegal’s premier visitor attraction, Glenveach National Park.

This hotel was the setting for Daniel O’Donnell’s wedding reception and is the ideal place to relax and revive. Itinerary

SUNDAY This morning we travel via southwest Scotland to Cairnrayn Port for the mid-afternoon ferry to Belfast. On arrival we transfer to our overnight hotel, The Ballygally Castle Hotel, where there will be time to settle in before dinner.
MONDAY A wonderful day as we travel up the Antrim  Coast and visit the Giants Causeway Visitor Experience where little buses will take us down the steep slopes to the amazing volcanic feature. Later we follow in the footstep of Michael Palin on a fabulous coastal train journey from Coleraine to Londonderry described as “one of the most beautiful journeys in the world”
TUESDAY Today we head to the Glenveach National Park & Castle which is the premier visitor attraction in Donegal. The castle, built in 1869, is set amongst beautifully maintained gardens, and offers magnificent mountain views, raised bog lands and tremendous lakes and woodlands across the 16,000 acres of National Park.

WEDNESDAY This morning we will take in the glorious scenery of the Inshowen Peninsula on our way to Malin Head the most northerly point in the “Emerald Isle”. Later we will visit the historic walled city of Derry where a local guide will provide an interesting and amusing insight into the city’s tumultuous past with a part walking and part driven tour which will include the Peace Bridge.

THURSDAY Today we head along the south west coast of Donegal and visit Ireland’s largest fishing port, Killybegs. The journey will take us through The Carrick & Slieve League Mountains and the scenic coastal village of Glencolumbkille. We will visit the charming town of Donegal set at the base of the Bluestack Mountains.

FRIDAY After breakfast we travel to Larne for our early afternoon ferry crossing to Cairnryan. We then retrace our steps via south west Scotland and expect to arrive home mid/late evening.
