MONDAY Our first visit today is to the South’s finest privately owned gardens, Compton Acres, with its unique series of stunning gardens and spectacular views. Having undergone extensive refurbishment in the past 10 years it is now highly regarded as one of the most important historic gardens in the UK. A team of gardeners and designers use modern horticultural techniques to ensure year round interest. The design takes the form of a necklace of separate gardens, each with its own unique style, but all providing surprise, drama and delight at every turn. These include The Grand Italian Garden, the Rock and Water Garden, the Heather Garden and the Japanese Garden. We will also visit Sandbanks, a small sandy peninsula jutting out across the mouth of Poole Harbour which is renowned for its golden sands, superb views and celebrity residents. Also known as ‘Millionaire’s Row’ it has some of the most expensive and exclusive houses in the UK.

TUESDAY Today we visit the historic harbour town of Christchurch and take a scenic drive through the New Forest. Christchurch’s large natural harbour and unique location on the rivers Stour and Avon make it a breathtaking location to visit.

WEDNESDAY Today we head to Poole with its bustling historic quayside, beautiful beaches and stunning natural harbour. We will visit Poole Pottery and watch demonstrations of pot throwing and decorating, read about its history and find out  how Poole Pottery is made. Later we will enjoy a fantastic lunch cruise around Europe’s largest natural harbour and along the beautiful coastline to Swanage where we will stroll through the quaint town to join the award-winning Steam Railway for a unique journey. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone age as we journey through 6 miles of magnificent Purbeck countryside including stunning views of William the Conqueror’s Corfe Castle.
