Join us on our popular ‘Tinsel and turkey’ breaks where Christmas and New Year come a little early! This fun filled and value ‘all-inclusive tour’ offer a wonderful break in early winter. Sample a little Scottish Hospitality with a whole host of treats and trips and a complimentary bar each evening between 7.30pm and 10.30pm


The Winnock Hotel surrounds the picturesque village green in the centre of Drymen, on the east side of Loch Lomond and a warm and friendly welcome awaits. The hotel has been extensively refurbished and modernised to provide all the amenities and comfort expected whilst retaining the 17th century character of the original inn. All bedrooms offer private bathrooms, TVs, telephone, and tea and coffee making facilities.


MONDAY Today we travel north with a break for lunch en route and arrive mid-afternoon to the crackle of roaring log fires, the twinkle of Christmas tree lights and traditional decorations festooning the oak rafters. After settling into your room, join your hosts for a welcome drinks reception. Later we will enjoy our first dinner together in the hotel.
TUESDAY Christmas Eve After a full Scottish breakfast we will enjoy a half day trip to Aberfoyle at the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. We will return to the hotel in time for a delicious Afternoon Tea and dinner will be served in the hotel later.
WEDNESDAY Christmas Day After another filling Scottish breakfast we will take the scenic drive along Loch Lomond to Antartex Village. Set within a former sheepskin factory and with a large retail offering there’s sure to be something for everyone. Traditional Scottish clothing brands , fine malt whiskies, souvenir and gift shops and a food hall offering delicious shortbread, sweets and jams. This is also home to Icefire Glass, a unique glassblower displaying the skilful art of decorative glassmaking. On your return to the hotel we’ve got Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings to enjoy along with a visit from Santa Claus who will be delivering presents.
THURSDAY Hogmanay After breakfast we travel to the city of Edinburgh where the traditional Christmas Markets and Winter Festival will be underway. There will be free time for sightseeing, shopping or perhaps a visit to the famous Castle or the Scottish National Gallery. This evening we return to the hotel to enjoy our Hogmanay dinner followed by the famous Scottish Show.
FRIDAY After a final leisurely Scottish breakfast we set off for home and expect to arrive during the late afternoon or early evening.
